Rosemary was overweight and had all sorts of gut troubles.
She then quit sugar and has never looked back! She’s even in training to become a nutritional practitioner! Take it away, Rosemary…
My daily breakfast in high school was a toasted English muffin slathered in butter and Nutella.
All throughout my childhood and teen years, I experienced digestive distress. I had frequent stomachaches and I often needed to go to the bathroom urgently, especially when I became stressed. My stomach was always bloated and I was diagnosed with IBS. I had horrible periods and headaches and relied heavily on anti-inflammatory painkillers to get through them.
I relied heavily on anti-inflammatory painkillers.
I was overweight in college (over 150lb/68kg at 162 cm tall) and lost weight through first calorie restriction.
I then ate more through eating a paleo-style way. But it wasn’t until a terrible sugar hangover while traveling in Ireland that I realised what exactly sugar was doing to me and how miserable it was making me. I realised that it was pointless to be paying so much money to travel while I was in a moody, depressed, hypoglycemic stupor. That day, I did some googling, and I stumbled across Keys2words.
I bought Sarah’s Keys2words.info eBook and decided right away that this was exactly what I needed. I was all in.
Yes, the carb flu was awful, and I was in quite a mood for the first few days. But after that, the clouds parted, and I could think more clearly than I had in as long as I could remember.
I now feel energetic and vibrant. My moods were stabilised.
I lost another few pounds, bringing me down to my lowest weight ever. I felt great.
I’ve started to incorporate other aspects of health too…
… making time for play, getting adequate sleep, reducing stress through meditation, walking regularly, and getting sunshine. (All I need now is to teach hot yoga and the ‘crunchy hippie’ transformation will be complete… :D)
I just wanted to write and say thank you for the program, because it was a major stepping stone in getting me to where I am today. I’m currently doing a certification to be a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner so I can help other people get back to health and regulate their blood sugar.
Keep up the wonderful work. I think we can’t ever have enough people singing the praises of how much quitting sugar does for health.
